If an entire Active Directory (AD) site goes down, there can be significant impacts on the availability and functionality of your AD environment.   1. Authentication: <\/strong>If the site that contains your domain controllers and\u00a0Global Catalog servers\u00a0goes down, users may not be able to log in to the domain. This can impact access to network resources and applications that require authentication.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Group Policy:<\/strong> If the site that contains the domain controllers hosting the\u00a0Sysvol folder\u00a0goes down, changes to\u00a0Group Policy\u00a0may not be replicated to other domain controllers in the environment. This can impact the ability to enforce\u00a0security policies\u00a0and other settings.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
