Our domain controllers run 2019, member servers run 2016. We have one member server running 2012 r2. We don’t use exchange and all desktops are running Windows 10 and 11. I believe the only thing that matters when raising it is that all the domain controllers are running the same version. Is it as simple as flipping it from 2012 r2 to 2016? I thought it was already raised, but as I was going over everything I saw that when things were setup, they didn’t raise it to 2016. Appreciate your help.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"closed","template":"","question-category":[12],"question_tags":[],"class_list":["post-3356","question","type-question","status-publish","hentry","question-category-active-directory"],"yoast_head":"\n
Raise domain Functional Level from 2012 R2 to 2016 - WindowsTechno Community<\/title>\n<meta name=\"robots\" content=\"index, follow, max-snippet:-1, max-image-preview:large, max-video-preview:-1\" \/>\n<link rel=\"canonical\" href=\"https:\/\/community.windowstechno.com\/community\/question\/raise-domain-functional-level-from-2012-r2-to-2016\/\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:locale\" content=\"en_US\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:type\" content=\"article\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:title\" content=\"Raise domain Functional Level from 2012 R2 to 2016 - WindowsTechno Community\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:description\" content=\" Hello, I have a question about raising the domain functional level.
